I have a real bad problem going right now. In changing out the glow plug in my 300d I managed to snap a tip clean off. I have the threaded portion and the rest is still lodged in the port. Apparently some serious carbon buildup was going on inside there. I can still see the tip through the injector port in place. Questions: Is the glow plug in a pre-chamber or right in the cylinder, can I push it in and leave it in the pre-chamber and install a new plug? The injector sit in some sort of sleeve that looks like it threads into the head, can this be removed? If so I might be able to get to the tip. any and all help would surely be appreciated. Thanks.

Ok,
That cylinder that the injector bolts into is the pre-chamber. If all of the threads came out and all that is left is the end, you should be able to take out the injector and the prechamber and clean the prechamber. There is a special tool for reaming this out with everything installed.
