Hey,
That J-1801 Spring compressor being sold on e-bay is made by a company called J.T.C. manufactured in the USA.
Has anyone had success using this tool?

Danny

sl spring tool

all of the tools pictured are in correct, the one mercedes uses is about a 2 foot similar to an all thread bolt, that really doesn't compress the spring, but rather clamps it, holds it in place, then after removing the bolts at the lower control arm bushings, allows you to release the spring tension by loosening the nut on the tool, if anyone wants a picture of the unit send me an email, i will gladly send it, or post it here

Yes, Please post the picture of the tool to this site. Do you know where the tool can be obtained?

Bushings replace. Can't get spring back in-place

Replaced bushings, but cannot get spring back in. Klann type tool didn't work. No access for tool. Tried to position with floor jack, but its most trial and error to get alignment. Probably need pit lift or proper spring tool (p/n 107 589 03 31 00) but don't know where to find it.
