directions to replace evaporator temp Sensor needed
'98 e320
I think I fall into the classic "need to replace evaporator temp sensor". I have read Steves posts on the subject and it seems to match up. Symptoms: Ac will run for a couple mins then shut down. This happens intermitantly. I can have no ac...stop and get gas and then have ac. when ac is running fine - reading 5 is <135. when ac shuts down - reading 5 is >140. So I've looked for instructions on where this part is and how to replace it. I know generally where it is (under the dash) Thanks Steve... but i don't know where exactly. I just need a couple of pointers and I'll be on my way. Thanks, Paul |

Evap temp sensor is above the gas pedal area, removal of the underdash panel is required. Located in the side of the case.

With the new one in hand, you ought to be able to see what you're looking for.
Did you also read this one, especially page 2 about reprogramming after it's changed? 210 chassis climate control problem Len |
