Early 722.6 gurus - MB Doc??
My car is a 97 Starmark C230 with 87k. This car was bought at 61k, and has had conductor plate, filter and fluid, new shift mechanism, and had the valve body "R&R's" for some unrelated reason. There have been ongoing tranny issues, mainly erratic shifting, a 1st gear slip that came and went, etc.
Last week, out of nowhere, it slipped almost totally from a dead stop with no warning. It was at 2500 RPM and barely moving. I had to stop and put it in park, and back to D. Nothing again, until today, 5 days later. It did it again, and this time, twice, and also slammed into 2nd gear afterward. I am hoping the whole thing is shot, so I can get it replaced, finally. What's your opinion? |
