No fan man.

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can help. The fan for my ac/heat system does not work. No air under any setting. The blower quit. Any ideas. Thanks.

Check the fuse first.
Good luck.

this happened as well on my 190e. Turned out to be the fuse in the small "extension" fusebox near the strut tower. I believe that is where it is as well for a W124.

of course, it depends on what model car you have ...

You can also try "wiggling" the key in the ignition to see if it comes on.

Known problem, give it a shot.

do a search on "blower" on this site. Lots of info here.

Check this stuff. Fuse, switches, wiring, blower motor, blower regulator.

Thanks

Thanks for the replies. Say this "extention" fuse box is it different than the one that has the power seat fuses in it.

in my 190e, the main fusebox cover has additional items listed past the last one (fuse#20), which is labelled "outside fusebox"; under this section, are listed the blower motor and seat heater

the extension fusebox in my car therefore has 2 fuses, and one of them is for the blower motor. Although I did not see any labelling for these 2 fuses, one of them was in bad shape and I replaced it, and my blower motor worked.
