E 320 Wagon Sway Bar End Links
Recently I broke a front spring on my '95 wagon. I have done all the maintenance on this car myself to date, but the cost of the spring compressing tool (well documented here) put this repair into the hands of Hatch & Sons. Hatch has also been much discussed here, they sold me the car, so back to them it went. No problems with the repair, but while they had the car they reccommended that the rear sway bar end links be replaced. I ordered form Phil, and put them on....the ride is now incredibly better then before! The old parts seemed fine and I thought that there would be no difference, but man was I wrong! The rest of the suspension is fine (nitro cells, springs, etc), I just wanted others to know that we may be over-looking a low cost improvement for wagons (and maybe sedans too) with 10+ yrs, and >100,000 miles. Hope this info helps others maintain the great ride mercedes wanted us to have.
