blower motor - torx or allen??

I have a 99 C 230 K with noisy blower motor. In past thread, someone thought that an allen wrench could be used to remove motor instead of torx driver. Has anyone used allen? I can't find correct size torx drivers locally and don't want to get in there again if allen won't work. Thanks
