Question no fuel to injectors??????????

I just had a new head gasket installed on my daughter's '84 190E. The head was planed and a complete valve job was done while the head was off. My mechanic has installed the head but cannot get fuel to the injectors. The first time he tried to start the car the motor ran but it was rough and had no power. After investigating, he discovered that he was only getting fuel to two of the injectors. Now he has fuel to the injector assembly, but cannot get fuel to any of the cylinders. He is using a Haynes manual, but cannot find any reason in the manual for the car to act like it is. I told him I would jump on the computer this weekend to see if I could get any ideas.

See if he can bleed each injector line at the fuel distributor.

Check for a disconnected air hose under the fuel distributor.

Seems very odd that you have fuel only at two injectors??
Fuel coming out of the fuel distributor is equal at all injectors, a constant pressure.
You need to check fuel pressure from the fuel pump, if there's pressure then the rest of the fuel system should be ok.

As Stan quoted, check the hose under the fuel distributor, this is a common item that doesn't get refitted after doing such a job.

Other than that, I would suggest rechecking the cam timing.
If it's a tooth out, it'll run like a dog.

I'm sorry but your use of the word mechanic is in error. A mechanic would not be in this position. A mechanic would know that the first test would be system fuel pressure. A mechanic would know that if he manually pushed down the air flow meter with the pump running and fuel pressure he would get fuel out the injectors whether the motor was running or not. OR he would know the reason why not!

He doesn't do this for money I hope.
