'88 107 CIS-E fuel injection amount unbalanced.

Anyone have experience of only one element in the fuel head short changing the injector ?( #2.cyl )

My parts guy does not carry a fuel head....quotes $860.00 from Mercedes.

I did one a long time ago for water in the system...but not a E system.
How often does this happen.? This is a first for me in 16 years.

Engine does not want to pull all the way to 5500 rpm, but will cruise at light throttle.

HISTORY.
Car arrived because customer complained of a max' speed of 45 mph.
Found to have 10 psi back pressure...installed new exhaust system.
Car now runs at 80 plus but has nearly dead miss under load and accelerates
like a 240D...

Have 82 psi pressure at port on fuel head at any load. Steady.
.....but does have whinney fuel pump(s).

In the light of the early morning....I have rechecked my observed findings of yesterday with a little more scientific data acquisition...

After warming up the engine...I ran the seemingly 'low volume' injector into a 100cc burette. for 90 seconds at idle.

Then I moved the same injector to the next element port and did the same...
Result was about 0.5cc ( Half a cc.) difference in volume.....not enough to make a lean stumble/miss. So this does not seem to be the problem at the target idle speed.

Now it remains to repeat the tests at 2500 rpm or half load of the air flap......
will report back later.
