oil change 560sl
can anyone tell me if there is a seal around the drain for the oil pan?
i noticed a small leak near there after i got an oil change. either the idiot didnt tighten the bult enough or he just put a bad seal back on. if there is a seal i want to know ahead of time so i can get it fixed right away.. thank you. |

When you buy an oil filter for it, there will be a copper o-ring or two included in a little package inside the oil filter box. Use the one that will fit on your drain plug, the other won't so it's pretty simple. If it's leaking there they could have even over-tightened it to the point of stripping out the threads so it can't tighten very well. If that's the case someone will have to do a heli-coil repair on the pan.
Thanks David
