rear right shock (w/ SLS susp.) KNOCKS!

...have this 91 300TE-24 sportline version, originally equipped with rear self-levelling (SLS), got d car fr. japan (euro ver.), one problem i have now is... whenever i stop and standstill during traffic, the rear right shock knocks! as in literally (tog, tog, tog!) I notice this evrytime the car is in its normal oper. temp. (85 deg.) all the bushing were already check and am also hearing squeaking sound on that side, the shock works great even on high speed, cornering, bumpy road... never experience wheel hopping, so what do you think is the problem? help!

Shock

The shock itself is going bad. Fluid is slipping buy the valve and then trying to refill itself giving you the (tog)

thanks benztek! ...one more thing, can i replace it with an ordinary hydraulic shock, coz i read some thread thread about sportline version that to replace it you have to specify that its lowered and the part # 1243203813, i dont have any idea if its really for sportline version and the part is not available in our place, still have to order it abroad which will cost me a lot... big thanks if you guys can help me...

It will be easier in the long run to replace the original shock than to go through the modifications necessary to by pass the self leveling system.

My 2 cents
