rear shocks 1989 300e
Got two new Bilsteins delivered yesterday.
Can you suggest where to put the jack stands to support the rear after jacking the car up? I guess I am looking for optimal safety and optimal working space. I hope this will make the rear less "floaty" in this car. Someone put Gabriels on it before I bought the car.

On each side of the car there is a beam that runs from the front all the way back to the rear wheel well openings. It is inboard from the rubber jack points. Don't raise the rear of the car by the diff center section. It is rubber mounted and the mounts will be damaged after a few such liftings. BTDT.
Good luck, |
