Trying to determine charge with low side only is a useless step. Surely you know someone who can connect a set of gauges so you can see where you're at with it.

Good luck,

I just bought a set of gauges off ebay, once they come I'll have a better idea, but I added some refidgerant and its blowing cold now so I'm still guessing theres a leak somewhere.

Time to use some UV dye and a black light with yellow glasses.

Good luck,

Obviously I have a leak in the system somewhere, once it blows hot again I'll add refidgerant with UV dye and check to see where the leak is. In the meantime I'll be praying to the evap. gods that it isn't the evaporator leaking!!!

Thanks for everyones help, I feel a bit bad because I should have known to check the pressures before asking for help, but thanks again!

Yes, you're right you should always start a/c troubleshooting with gaugeS, plural. Monitoring the low side only doesn't tell you much. You need to connect a manifold set.

The two most necessary and fundamental tools necessary for a/c work are manifold set and thermometer. Number three is a vacuum pump.

Get both pressures and ambient temp before proceeding. Post that info here and we can help further.

Good luck,
