Hello everyone!! I'am having trouble with my air conditioning and need your help. Let me give you the troubles and maybe there is an answer to it all.

Here is the A/C problem. If I start my car with the A/C already activated, sometimes it will work, sometimes it wont and if its not working there is no way for me to get it to work with out turning the car off. If I start the car without the A/C activated then turn it on after its started it always works. lately however it will be woking then turn off, and now as of today my fan wont work, it was on then I switched it to low and it stopped blowing, and now its just intermitently working if that. Does this sound more like a control housing problem or not?
Also last week my engine light came on and I believe my idle speed control motor is bad($1100.00) My car idles a lot lower,around 500-700 rpm depending if the A/C is on or not. If I dont fix this,is there any real consequence?
Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks again.

PS My car is a 1994 e320 with 188k miles on it and nothing from the A/C has ever been replaced,however the upper engine wiring harness of course had been updated.
