Question A/C fan stops when I accelerate

Along with the other problem listed below with the cooling fan on my var, i am having another issue i wanted ask about. i have had the car a few years ans it has always done this. when the car is hot inside the a/c will run on high . once the car cools off some and you goto accelerate the center vent fans will quit blowing, when you get back to crusing speed, the fan restarts. i have had many mercedes, i have never seen this so dont think it is normal. my 99 CLK did not, that is about the closest i have had to this car. any imput is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Doug
