Hey folks, used the search and can't get what I want. I have NO charge light, at any time. Question: What can give you NO charge light (other than the bulb), key on, engine on/off? If the bulb is burnt out, will the field of the alternator NOT get any juice to start the charging process? Seems kinda dumb from a fail-safe stand point, if thats the case, but I would value any thoughts! Thanks much, Clip BTW I am upgrading to 80A as well..

at any time yes, it may be the bulb in the idiot light. that should not affect the charge function.

The small BLUE wire that goes to the alternator MUST ground the bulb when the key is on the the engine isN'T running!

SO if you disconnect the wiring to the alternator & ground ONLY that small blue wire in that plug the battery light should come on when the key is ON!
