rear windsheild weep hole leak

Hello all,
A couple of days ago I had my rear windsheild re installed on my 240d to eliminate leaks. I gave my car a bath, and noticed a drip coming from the small hole on the left side of the car going from the trough that the rear window gasket sits in into the trunk. when the window was out of the car, I got a good look at the hole, and it was put there in the factory. It seems that the purpose of the hole is to let water out that has been trapped between the body and the gasket. but is it supposed to be dripping?
thanks,
Kalen

It is put there at the factory for PAINT to drip through when the car is painted at the factory. Plug it up.
