Help! Possible noise from fan on M104.

Are you sure it's the fan? on my M104 there's a rattling sound from the area of the fan, turned out to be the idler bearing pulley.

Use an old stethoscope (or similar) to try and trace the source of the noise - beware of moving belts while the engine is running.
