84' 380SL instrument cluster wiring

Help! I am replacing the multi-pin (about 12 pins) main connector from my wiring harness that goes to the back of my instrument cluster. It is the largest connector, round, and brown in color. The problem is that I lost the wiring diagram I had made telling me which pin goes where...the pins just slide in and out of the connector. What I need is either a wiring diagram or a sketch of one with the color-coded wires showing where each goes on the connector assembly. Ugh!!! Caution...they snap apart easily, but the pins come out very quickly, so great care is required if one needs to open it up for repairs. I have found that just a little strain on these when removing the instrument cluster can cause the pins to rotate and cause a short, so never put any strain on the cluster when servicing them!!!
In any event, if anyone out there can help me, or direct me to a diagram I shall be eternally greatfull. Many thanks, Jeff

I don't have the diagram for your car, but I did exactly the same thing with my 300D. When you get the diagram (I used a Haynes manual) you have to carefully put each connector back in the correct hole, based on wire color, which requires about 17 fingers. The trick I used was to put a SMALL amount of tacky craft glue around the holes before I started. That way the connectors stayed in place as I worked on the rest. I tried it without the glue, and the connectors popped out or the little holes faster than I could put them in. The other trick was to translate all the wire color codes into english and make a list (by number) before starting. I bet neither of us will do this again. Good luck.
