83 300CD - Lost Key/Ignition Removal??

83 300CD - Lost Key/Ignition Removal??

Lost the only key. Order a new one by vin but it only fits the passenger door & trunk. Locksmith tried for 2 hrs to make a key, no luck. How can I get the key cylinder out without a key????
