Cracked windshield on an 82 500 SEL

Cracked windshield on an 82 500 SEL

I just bought this car for 1000 dollars. Its a beautiful car, probably the first of many of these cars I'll own. The car needs a new windshield, but all the glass companies tell me that the 500 SEL is not listed for that year. Does anyone know why they are telling me that?
