W140 V8 torque converter drain?
I see that the fellow who designed the water pump of the M103 went on to design the exhaust system of the V8 W140. Move the crossover pipe an inch forward. Is that too much to ask?
Has anyone devised a deflector for draining the torque converter without having ATF splash off the crossover pipe? I tried a shoe horn but there wasn't enough room with the tranny pan in place so I wrapped a plastic bag around the crossover pipe and let it splash. Not too much of a mess, really, but it should be possible to drain the torque converter without any mess. Thanks, Sixto 95 S420 87 300SDL |
