86 300E - W124 Front Control Arm Bushing Question
As part of the Sportline upgrade I'm replacing the Front Control Arm bushings.
One pair of bushings for each arm has 2 molded-in lugs and one pair has 3 lugs. I read the service pages over at Braingears.com and it makes mention of orienting the flat spot either vertically or horizontally depending on the model, but I can't find any reference to the whether the 3-lug bushings go to the front or the back. It simply states "Only install the same type of rubber mount (the Shore hardness of the rubber mount is determined by the number and shape of the lugs)." The bushings I took out were both 2 and 3-lug bushings, but I didn't note their position at the time. Anybody know for sure which ones go where? Also, it seems that the pictures showing the proper orientiation of the bushings are reversed. Is this right? Gary |

Thanks Glen,
Why the heck didn't I think of that? Too easy and logical, I guess Gary |
