I have a 1987 Mercedes 260 E. I noticed it was revving by itself. I took it into the mercedes service station and they said it was a faulty air sensor unit and that it would cost around $1000 to repair. Is this a correct estimate? And should I ask for the broken parts to make sure it was replaced? Thanks for any help you can give me.
