2000 C280 Spark Plug Change
I have been following your threads for the past year; however, there are not much postings on the C280, particularly spark plug changes.
What are the procedures for the 2000 C280 100K spark plug change? Dealers' partspersons have advised me to "take the coil packs off", "don't need to take the coil packs off if they're not in the way", "use a spark plug wire boot remover tool", "don't need a boot remover tool.... The only consensus of three dealers' partspersons and a Kragan Auto partsperson is that the spark plug should have ONLY one tip. If anyone has the answers, please consider the following questions and please post: Do the coil packs come off? Do I need a boot remover tool? Do you need to remove the black protective engine cover? If so, how? What is the spark plug torque? Thank you Norman California |
