I haven't been on the board for a while. Things look different (GREAT!!) Thanks to all who spend time making this forum available to all of us. I'm not sure how to search the archive any more though...

I have an '89 300E and the driver side sun visor fell off. There's a bare stem on the sun visor side. My mom has an '8g 190E 2.3 (W201) and the same thing happened to me while I was driving it this evening! What's that all about?

NOW, THE QUESTION! Does anyone have a good fix for this? I'm a fairly competent MacGyver kinda guy and am interested in fixing these rather than replacing them.

I'm open to all reasonable suggestions. Don't want to go to a dismantler if I can avoid it.
