Morning After

Hi All,
I have a W124 1993 model. Recently I have a problem of vibration and shaking of the car while driving. The garage managed to solve that by removing something, not sure what. Then after a few days, I have this problem of difficult starting in the morning. The engine turns and dies. I have to do that for 4-5 times before the engine will start. Then initially it sounds like a motorboat before reverting back to a mercedes engine. Once the engine is hot, there is no problem for the rest of the day. But come morning, the whole starting procedure has to be repeated. This is getting pretty annoying. I tried to turn the ignition on for half a minute a couple of times before actually starting, but it doesn't help much. Any ideas from the specialists out there or anyone with a similar problem?
