Help! Lights go on/or flash (security) when I lock the door 1986 300 E
Hi,
I have an 86 300E. Reminds me of the Tom Hanks movie, Money Pit. Anyway, I refuse to quit until something major goes in it. Anyway, the other day I noticed that my battery got run way down. This was due to the door lock being engaged. Both driver and passenger door were causing this. The light would go on and stay on or they would flash like the security system was tripped. Keep in mind that this was after a solid week of rain. Since everything has dried out here in Manhattan, it has stopped doing this but I am still concerned and want to fix this. Can I/should I disengage the sercurity system altogether. (If so how?) Anyone ever seen this happen? Thanks for your help! Regards, mark |

I plagiarised these from 3 other posts.
It's a long slim black box with Becker markings. Has 2 ~14 pin connectors on it. -sixto
The alarm control unit is under the panel in the front portion under the passenger side carpet… …Take off the 2 harnesses and it should stop. -Benzmac Pull the passenger floor mat. Set off the alarm. It will be ticking like a time bomb. You will know what to disconnect. -JDUB
