300td 79 heater
ok now I know the fan is good i took it out and tested it,I know I have vacuum to inside the car. also my alt light stays on,and still no fan
at any setting please help what do i check next |

You have the dreaded servo style ACC system. The ACC amp is located behind the glovebox and is known to have cold solder problems, try resoldering it ,then there is the servo under the hood, near the front passenger side.A problem with the servo will usually default to defrost only, as will a vacuum problem.There is also a second fuse for the ACC system that is an inline fuse near the cruise control controller on the top of the driver's side wheelwell. These guys have a kit to convert the ACC system to a manual system http://www.**************.com/. Check their 123 catalog , I still haven't found that servo tech article.
