Stuck speedo cable.

Hey all, I'm pulling my 240D's motor and I'm having a hard time getting the speedo cable fitting outta the tranny. I've tried spreading the hole with a small screwdriver and hammer, the bolt's all the way out... is there some hard to see additional retention? Any suggestions?

I only have the 300D, but I 've worked on other trannies too.

That one cross bolt is all I have ever seen. Just make sure it is all the way out, not just loose.

Odd that it is stuck, usually those areas are wet with oil.
Maybe spray a little PB or wd40 at it and give it a little side to side action
while pulling.

But in answer, I don't think there is any other thing holding it back.

Good Luck.
