Does anyone know how to replace the differential mounts on a 300E. IT seemes to me that they are pressed in to the subframe. but before I yank out the frame I want to be sure I have to and if I do is there a special way to get them out or do I just tap them out. Whats the procedure.

The book would have you do a lot of work. We drop the differential down, hanging from the axles and driveshft. Drive the bushings out with a hammer etc. The new ones need to be pressed from the forward side to the rear. We use a puller made of a good stout bolt and appropriate washers/spacers. Takes less than two hours, but since MB says to remove the whole works we charge more (bg).
