SRS - Pass Airbag off malfunction

I've done some searching and found info about why my passenger airbag off light and SRS light is stuck in the 'on' position, but...

I'd like to know if there is any way to bypass the sensor in the seat to ensure that the airbag is on at all times. I have no need to have the airbag off.

Thanks for any assistance.

I have a 2001 E320 with the same problem. When the passenger seat is occupied, the Airbag Off light comes on and the SRS light on the dashboard lights. When the seat is not occupied, both lights remain off.

I would rather bypass the sensor (leaving the airbags active) then pay to have my seat taken apart. Please let us know if there is a way to jump the connector with a resistor or wire.

Thanks

Ended up buying the part at *************** for $130 and went to an auto seat upholstery shop (RR Seats, Plainview,NY) and had it installed. It was not very expensive and they did it quickly. Light is off now.
