The dutch part suplying chaps get along day in day out by asking what is the chassis# of the car you need the parts for? (VIN# for US members...) and since I update/modify all of my cars...I cannot use the parst I get by chassis#...

It seems to be verrrrry difficult to get the proper part for a car without supplying them with a chassis#.

greetingz,

Its the same here. The bible according to our chasis. I reckon MB must be the only automobile that requires a submission of chasis # BEFORE despatching of parts.

I heard that our local dealer actually makes a security check too - if its a fishy #, they won't supply you the part.

I have a similar issue and found this in exploring possible solutions: http://www.whitegauges.net/products/WHITE-4-point-194-style-LED-replacement-bulb.html#

Some LEDs would be ideal in this lighting environment, I think. I haven't tried these yet and im not sure if they fit or you have to modify some stuff, or if there are better ones. But I found them from a guys video on youtube, looked nice, compared to my current look of constantly driving under a street lamp. Let me know if you decide to try them, or if anyone else has.

The fix for an early 124 is to get a cluster housing from a later 124 with the updated light-pipes.
