Replacing A/C compressor clutch
Hello,
Has anyone replaced just the ac compressor clutch, without replacing the entire compressor. I know the clutch is not working, and I know everything else is working. The Two prong electrical connector on the compressor is loose and when I manually hold/tweak the plug it kicks in, and when not, it will not kick in, is there a way to fix this electrical connection without replacing the whole compressor unit. Any ideas let me know please, The Kid |

MB sells rebuilt clutches, we use them all the time for clutch coil problems mostly.

If it's the R4 compressor (extrapolating from your name that the vehicle is a mid '80's diesel ), try a # 15-4710 or #15-4793 AC Delco. Common clutch (if that's it?) that fits 4,229 vehicles on the Delco website.
