Silicone, as in Permatex gasket material - a few dabs of anything to make it stick temporarily to the cover. Arthur, what do you do to keep the gasket from falling off the cover while putting it in place?

Anything that does not have silicone.

Dean, bear with me...

When removeing the valve cover to replace the gasket, must I remove
the spark plugs, coils and ingintion wires first in order to remve the cover?

Not the spark plugs but you have to pull everything else out of the way.

I was hopeing to avoid going through all that removal again...oh well, here we go.

Anything else I should be changing while I've got that stuff pulled? I guess I need to find that 3m sticky stuff Arthur mentioned. Not sure where to get it...any suggestions.
