temp guage sending unit
Hi.
i have an 280 w123 euro 1979, carb model, above the exhuast manifolds and in the head there are two sending units, one larger than the other, one i no must be the sending unit for the tempreture guage, i guess thats the small one. The other one is similar to the thermotime switch i have on my 280se, but why would a carb model have an thermo time switch? Why is there two sending units on this carb fed model. |

Many euro cars had EGR even when the USA cars didnt.. that would be a reason for a thermo vacuum valve..
The aux cooling fan has it's own switch as well.
