The climate control system in my 1994 E320 wagon doesn't wait until the engine is warm anymore before turning on the blower for heat. Further more, when I depress the windshield defrost button it blows at high speed regardless of which fan speed button is pushed. Is this the way it is suppose to work? Also - does anyone know of winter blades available for the monowiper on this car? I got tired of the wiper arm bridging the windshield and causing visibility problems while driving in the snow. My dealer says he hasn't heard of any available.

Pressing the defrost button will set the fan to blow as hard as possible regardless the switch setting. It is supposed to do so...
I think mercedes got tired of the one arm wiper system as well, since they changed back to the two arm wiper systems again. The one wiper system is well known for the poor visibility (it transports the dirt from the entire right to the left to the right, etc...I have never heard of winter wiper blades either.

greetingz,
