'99 sl500 power steering

query re the power steering on my recently purchaed 33000 mile sl500.

The power steer is extremely light, and does not become heavier at any speed. At speed, it can be a little "boat like".

The alignment (caster, toe & camber) fine, and per factory specifications; had checked/adjusted twice in recent months. New tires too. No known steering or suspension modifications. No known accident history, and car in otherwise perfect condition. And other than this p/steer issue, the car handles superbly (as it should!).

Does this model & year have speed sensitive p/steering; and if so, what should/could be checked, and can it be adjusted? Are there any adjustments that can be made to make the steering firmer? If a fault is possible, what could I suggest to my service technician to look at?

Thanks in anticipation
