Hello All:
TIA for any thoughts.... Car: 1999 E300D with xenon head lights. Sometimes it seems that the leveller does not function and the headlights don't shine as far. How far out should the headlight fall? Assuming I park in my level driveway, how far on the pavement out front should the center of the beam fall? Seems like it is currently less than 1 car length. Thanks again, Neil. |

Xenon Headlamp Range Adjustment is computed out by the HRA control module, it utilizes a front and rear level sensor. Could be a sensor problem. I have only had a problem with one car, and it was in an accident, the body shop didn't have the front sensor correctly installed. It is diagnosable with the Star Diagnosis tester. Have your dealer check it out for trouble codes. This is not a manually adjustable system, all you can really do is make it work correctly.....Gilly

Thanks Gilly.
I'll have the dealer check it out. Much appreciated! |
