Hi, all:
I had the California smog check done on my 94 C280 this morning and the mechanic told me that there is a service bulletin that might involve my car. Here is the message shown on the computer. Can anybody find out what VIN range is involved? Thanks. ===================================================== Bullentin #: CMP95_0131 Date: 01-01-1995 EGR Valve - Replacement Defect description: The EGR valve on engines 104 HFM-SFI may stick, causing the "CHECK ENGINE" MIL to illuminate. Fix: On vehicles within the effective serial number range (see service bulletin), the EGR valve must be replaced during the vehicles next scheduled maintenance or repair.
