I am in the process of replacing the differential rear mounts in my 86 300E (the ones you can see from the rear). Does anybody know, for sure, what size are the hex screws? I suspect they are 12 or 13 mm. Since I do not have neither size, I would like to buy the right one. Any tips where to buy them, other that the tool truck????

It's been awhile since I've done those but the Euro cars generally use 13mm instead of the 12mm. If the decision is between those two I would bet big on the 13. If you don't have any more posts soon I will go out and check on my 300E to be sure. You should be able to buy one at sears.

Thanks Snappy,
Well, I already went to sears. All they have is a 12mm hex. but, I did not see a 13mm. Can anybody else confirm the size of the hex???? TIA
