Dear all.
I think my car is a bit too low and I want to raise it up a bit by putting a thicker spring pad in the front. I use a set of H&R springs. 1.8 front and 2.2 rear I want to find out my currect thickness of the spring pad, so that I can order them. I have a 93 300E W124 3.2 . Thank you very much for your time Pete regards |

I presume that the 1.8 front and 2.2 rear
you have posted have nothing to do with the current spring pads...otherwise you didn't want to know what your current pad size is. If you still have the original (by MB) mounted spring pads, you can go to the MB dealer and get the thickness by using your VIN# or chassis#. The MB compu should be able to give the part# of the factory used spring pads. If you are lucky, you can see some "dots" on the edges of the current spring pads after you dived under the car with a flashlight. The number of dots resembles the type of spring pad...1 dot for 8mm, 2 dots for 13mm, 3 dots for 18mm and 4 dots (front only) for 23mm thick spring pads. greetingz,
