They should fix all the cars, whether there is evidence of rust-out or not. Waiting for a problem to happen is not the answer. Do they expect Mercedes owners to get on their hands and knees and check their springs before heading to the office every morning?

it's time the public hears about this inexcusable safety defect. you should also write letters, along with pictures, to Mercedes Benz Club of America and have them publish in the magazine. This will certainly get some attention from the right people. Also consider writing to news agencies and consumer protection agencies.
