You will need to remove the wiper motor assembly, disassemble it and grease the sliding mechanism and eccentric.

Do a search and you will find several posts in the archives with adequate information to complete this operation.

I saw this post during a search, but can it be done in the park position? I cannot get the wiper to the vertical position via the swich. Can I turn the switch on and move it by hand without breaking anything?

Thanks for the link and picts. That was one of the maintenance items I have on my list, but it "broke" first... *sigh*
