Boy, can I attest to that!
I am a victim of the 'hit and miss' approach. Just do a search of all the posts under my username 'suginami', and you'll find about $5,000 in the last 9 months to prove the hit and miss approach to engine diagnostics. It sure is hard to find a good mechanic. I just wished I lived close to one of the moderators on this site.
