722.6 fluid + final drive change, how much needed?

Looks like somewhere between 6-8 liters from my guess. From anyone who has done both, how much did it take? I'd hate to waste an extra $15

Don't understand what you mean by final drive change, but I'm reasonably certain my 722.6 TC + Transmission was 8 liters.

I believe he is asking the quantity of the rear axle gear fluid. I was going to change mine just because I bought my 94 C280 lqst April and it has 170,000 on it. When I got under there I saw that it was a very large size hex bolt. Looks like the fluid change will have to wait alittle while

For the transmission 7-8 litres will be enough (provided you drain the torque convertor).

Use only MB ATF, and make sure you quote the VIN of your car when ordering.

For the differential, the capacity is 1.1 litres so you'll need 2 * 1 litre bottles.
