My Window regulator sliding jaw broke up like the Six million Dollar Mans aircraft. The window would only roll halfway up. Upon removing the door panel the lower regulator mounting bolt pulled out of the door frame and the nylon sliding jaw was in pieces. I hammer and dollied the regulator mounting point flat and used a washeer to re-fasten the regulator to the door frame. I am puzzled on two things. How to replace the nylon sliding jaw on the regulator. And # 2 I have a couple of pieces that I cant figure out where they go. A tensioning spring and nylon half roung bushing that I found in the inner door panel. Any help would be appreciated.

There is no fix for this one. You will have to replace the regulator assembly.

The 126 has a replaceable jaw, but it is the only one.

i was wondering why was I able to purchase the sliding jaw if it can't be replaced. The nylon jaw was broken and appeared to have been replaced before( because there was another broken sliding jaw found inside the door frame). It appears as this may be a commen problem as the Mercedes Benz parts man at the dealer had many in stock and gave me the impression that it was a common problem. I need to knoe if there is an easy way to put the nylon sliding jaw in, but it looks like I will have to remove the regulator to fix it. The window will roll upand down after I repaired where the regulator pulled through the door frame.
Thanks for the help on this one. The cd rom manual from Mercedes does not cover this, the Popular Mechanics cd rom from Alldata does not cover this nor does the Haynes 190 manual.

It can't be fixed. Replace the window regulator. It comes complete with a new motor
