I recently purchased a 1969 280sl which, upon deceleration, rumbles and pops from the exhaust. No backfire. Is this normal, or does it indicate a problem which needs attention?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions, Steve |

There is a fuel cut-off solinoid on the FI pump for de-celeration. [emissions]
There are four switches involved and a testing procedure. I have the test and you may get it by emailing me, but first, the circuit is fused, so check the fuse. Arthur |
