Veru good..but you are ahead of me..I need one more step

Go to fuse # 9 and take your test lamp/meter [ whatever you used for the last voltage test] and I want you to test BOTH sides of that fuse..do not touch the fuse ends, but rather the fuse holder connectors..each side ...pos lead to fuse , neg to a good ground. KOEO...

OK

Lets see what you have for codes .
Te tool is used the same as the built-in led combo..You use red at pin #16, blk at #1 and use the odd one at pin 8. That will be HFM/SFI engine management module. Get them first and then go get the ones at #14. That should have codes for the ASR/ABS ..
We will go back for DM codes later. I want to be sure we can access the others first b/c I suspect your CE lamp module has been diconnected in order to sell you the car w/o a CE Lamp Warning system operating .
Meaning they had emmissions fault codes stored and did not want a perspective buyer to know about it. That is why I wanted positive confirmation of fuse #9..that powers the DM CE lamp module..
See what you have at 8 amd 14 , if any

Ok
So that I understand you correctly..
you put KOEO--you hooked up tool and went to pin 8-- you pressed the button, it lit and you held the button down for 2/3 secs and released---you waited a couple of secs and nothing came back in Flash Format ????
But it came back as solid 4 sec?????

Ok
If they repeat, that means that is all the codes for those modules.
The codes come up in numerical sequence , so any time you go for codes , after one flashes back, repeat the procedure b/c there may be another hiding behind that one , with a higher number of flashes [ ie 4, 7. 9. 12 . etc] You know you are done when the first one repeats.
So, you have a problem with the Cruise set switch and you have no cummunication with the DM module.

Now , same deal..but this time I want you to go get the codes from pin #3 .That is the same as the built-in led, so that will tell you if it is the DM circuit or the sw/led.

I also would like you to try using the built-in led again , as I am now not so sure you knew how to get the codes from before.
