can't remove ignition tumbler, key not stuck
This is really pissing me off...i've done all the searches and still can't get the thing out.
1984 190D, I bought a new VIN matched tumbler with key.... It appears from everything I can tell from looking at the new tumbler and all the old posts that all I need to do is..... 1. remove the plastic trim ring, easy 2. insert key and turn to allow the holes/slots to line up 3. inset pin or stiff wire to depress spring 4. pull tumbler out So why does the tumbler not slide out when I insert the pins? Is there something else holding the tumbler in? Why ignition is not broken, key works fine, just trying to swap out the tumbler with a VIN matched key
